Returns & Refunds Policy
Eligibility, return windows, cores, warranties, and how to request a return.
Effective Date: July 7, 2026
Partix wants every customer to receive the correct part at a fair price. Because automotive parts are vehicle-specific and often sourced through supplier networks, salvage yards, recycled parts distributors, OEM suppliers, aftermarket vendors, and freight carriers, all returns must follow the policy below.
By placing an order with Partix, you agree to this Returns & Refunds Policy.
1. Return Eligibility
Parts may be eligible for return only if they are:
- In unaltered, re-sellable condition
- Unused, uninstalled, and not damaged
- Returned in the original packaging when applicable
- Returned with the original invoice, receipt, or order confirmation
- Approved by Partix before being shipped or delivered back
Parts that have been installed, modified, painted, programmed, cut, damaged, disassembled, or otherwise altered are not eligible for return unless Partix determines that the part was defective, incorrect, or otherwise covered by an applicable warranty.
2. Return Window
Return requests must be made within 30 days of the invoice date.
Returns approved after 30 days from the invoice date may be subject to a 20% handling or restocking fee.
No returns will be accepted after 45 days from the invoice date.
Partix reserves the right to deny any return that does not meet these requirements.
3. Required Return Approval
Do not send a part back without contacting Partix first.
All returns must be approved before the part is returned. Unauthorized returns may be refused, returned to the customer, or excluded from refund eligibility.
To request a return, contact Partix with:
- Your name
- Invoice or order number
- Vehicle year, make, model, and VIN
- Reason for return
- Photos of the part, packaging, labels, and any damage if applicable
4. Incorrect Parts
If Partix supplied the wrong part due to our error, we will work to correct the issue by helping arrange a replacement, exchange, supplier return, credit, or refund, depending on availability and supplier approval.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle information, including VIN, trim, engine, drivetrain, production date, and any other details needed to confirm compatibility.
If the customer orders the wrong part, provides incorrect vehicle information, declines VIN verification, changes their mind, or no longer needs the part, the return may be subject to restocking fees, shipping charges, supplier fees, or denial depending on the condition and timing of the return.
5. Electrical, Electronic, and Programmed Parts
Electrical and electronic parts are limited-return items.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Control modules
- ECUs and PCMs
- Sensors
- Headlights and LED assemblies
- Infotainment units
- Instrument clusters
- Switches
- Wiring components
- Cameras
- Radar, ADAS, and safety modules
- Programmed or coded parts
Electrical parts may not be returnable once installed, plugged in, programmed, coded, opened, or altered.
Partix may require proof of professional diagnosis or installation before approving any return, exchange, or warranty-related claim for electrical or electronic components.
6. Special Order Parts
Special order parts may be non-refundable.
This includes parts that are:
- Ordered specifically for your vehicle
- Sourced from a third-party supplier
- Freight-shipped
- Painted, cut, programmed, coded, or modified
- Rare, discontinued, oversized, or high-value
- Ordered from salvage, recycled, OEM, or aftermarket vendors with limited return rights
If a special order part is returnable, it may be subject to supplier approval, freight costs, handling fees, and restocking fees.
7. Freight and Shipping Charges
Shipping, freight, delivery, handling, and pickup charges are generally non-refundable unless Partix determines that the return is due to our error.
The customer may be responsible for return shipping, freight, packaging, and carrier charges.
Large items such as engines, transmissions, doors, bumpers, seats, suspension assemblies, hoods, liftgates, and body panels may require freight return authorization before being shipped back.
Parts damaged during return shipping due to improper packaging may not be eligible for refund.
8. Damaged Shipments
Inspect all parts immediately upon delivery or pickup.
If a part arrives damaged, contact Partix as soon as possible and provide:
- Photos of the damaged part
- Photos of the packaging
- Photos of freight labels or delivery paperwork
- A written description of the damage
- Your invoice or order number
Damage claims may be denied if the part is installed, discarded, repaired, altered, or reported too late for Partix or the carrier to verify the issue.
9. Cores and Core Charges
Some parts may include a core charge. A core charge is a refundable deposit connected to the return of the old part being replaced.
Core charges are refundable only if the appropriate core is returned within 30 days of the invoice date.
The returned core must be the correct type of part and must be complete enough to qualify under supplier requirements.
Core refunds may be denied if the core is:
- Not returned within the required timeframe
- Missing major components
- Damaged beyond acceptable supplier standards
- Different from the part type purchased
- Not eligible under the supplier's core rules
- Previously requested to be kept by the customer
Core return shipping or pickup may be the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued after the returned part is received, inspected, and accepted by Partix or the applicable supplier.
Refunds may be reduced by:
- Restocking fees
- Handling fees
- Supplier return fees
- Shipping or freight charges
- Damage deductions
- Missing component deductions
- Unpaid balances, invoices, or delivery charges
Refunds are typically returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, bank, supplier, or carrier involved.
11. Exchanges
When available, Partix may offer an exchange instead of a refund.
Exchanges depend on supplier inventory, part condition, VIN compatibility, pricing, freight availability, and approval by Partix or the supplier.
Replacement parts may be subject to price differences, additional shipping, additional freight, or new warranty terms.
12. Warranty Claims
Warranty coverage is separate from standard returns.
A warranty may apply when a part fails during the applicable warranty period, but warranty approval depends on the part type, supplier rules, installation requirements, documentation, and inspection.
Warranty claims may require:
- Original invoice
- VIN and mileage
- Proof of professional installation
- Diagnostic report
- Photos or videos
- Return of the failed part
- Maintenance records for engines, transmissions, or drivetrain components
Labor, towing, fluids, programming, diagnostics, rental vehicles, storage fees, lost income, and incidental expenses are not covered unless specifically stated in writing.
13. Non-Returnable Items
The following items may be non-returnable:
- Installed parts
- Altered or damaged parts
- Painted or modified parts
- Opened or installed electrical parts
- Programmed or coded modules
- Special order parts
- Cut body sections
- Glass after acceptance or installation
- Parts missing labels, tags, packaging, or components
- Parts returned without invoice or authorization
- Parts returned after 45 days
- Parts ordered with incorrect customer-provided information
14. Compatibility Disclaimer
Partix uses available vehicle data, supplier information, VIN decoding, part numbers, interchange data, and customer-provided information to help identify compatible parts.
However, final compatibility may depend on trim, production date, drivetrain, engine code, options, wiring, software, emissions equipment, body style, and prior vehicle modifications.
Customers and installers should verify fitment before installation, painting, programming, or modification.
Once a part is installed, altered, painted, or programmed, return eligibility may be limited or denied.
15. Abuse, Fraud, and Misuse
Partix reserves the right to deny returns, refunds, exchanges, or warranty claims involving suspected fraud, part swapping, missing components, damage caused by installation, inaccurate claims, abuse, or misuse of the return process.
